anabel reidIn the summer of 2011, Water4 was gifted with the presence of 19-year-old Anabel Reid, a sophomore at Abilene Christian University with a tremendous heart to assist people in need through water relief. In November of that year, Anabel passed away tragically in a car accident.

Since then, her family has worked diligently with Water4 to keep her passion for clean water alive, establishing the Anabel Reid Memorial Fund and hosting annual events to fund “the powerful story of saving lives, providing jobs, and bringing living water to those in need.”

This year, more than 160 of Anabel’s friends and family came together in Lubbock, Texas, to adopt a two-mile stretch of highway CR 5300. The $11,000 they raised will fund 11 water wells in Togo, Africa and supply 3,300 people with access to clean water.
