Overview

We’re looking for a Marketing & Communications Manager who can creatively and strategically tell the Water4 and NUMA story. This role is all about clarity, creativity, and consistency—delivering compelling content and communications that deepen donor engagement, strengthen our brand, and support our mission at every touchpoint.
About the Role
The Marketing & Communications Manager creates key content and communications to engage Water4’s audiences, increase brand awareness, and expand Water4’s donor base. Reporting to and working closely alongside the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Marketing & Communications Manager will produce clear, compelling, and engaging collateral to market Water4 and Water4's for-profit African safe water businesses, NUMA, to financial partners, stakeholders, and donors. The Marketing & Communications Manager will serve as a resource to the entire Water4 organization, ensuring communications are branded and aligned with Water4’s tone, voice, and DNA through the creation of reports, proposals, presentations, and more templated fundraising materials. In addition, this role involves the creative execution of Water4's marketing strategy as set by the CEO and the Director of Marketing & Communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Creating and scheduling social media posts and responding to audience engagement
- Writing and designing a weekly donor email
- Managing and updating the Water4 website, including SEO improvements
- Designing quarterly reports, the Annual Impact Report, and other donor collateral
- Creating assets for fundraising campaigns and events (e.g. Walk4Water4, year-end campaign)
- Developing slide decks for monthly staff meetings and fundraising proposals
- Crafting templates for consistent branded materials
- Contributing to event and headshot photography
- Shooting and editing video content
- Networking with podcast networks for CEO appearances and organizational brand podcast outreach
- Conducting surveys and organizing donor feedback
- Designing print and digital stationery and branded materials
- Traveling as needed for storytelling, media collection, or donor events
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field
- 4 –6 years of experience in a marketing, design, or communications role
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Strong graphic design skills and a portfolio that demonstrates excellence
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
- Humble, self-motivated, and eager to learn
- Able to work independently, take feedback graciously, and iterate effectively
- Photography and videography experience required
- Ability to foster strong working relationships with team members, donors, and partners
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of Asana or other project management tools
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
- Website management experience (specifically Webflow)

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
